We typically stock 18k PVD gold over stainless steel pieces, which is a great value and skin safe option that will last you a very long time of 24/7 wear, including in the shower or pool/ocean. PVD is a method of molecular bonding that is highly resistant to scratches and daily wear. On each piece, we list the materials used.
Titanium
For our piercing jewelry, we prefer implant grade titanium for the parts that sit inside piercings (it's the front decorative pieces that are still PVD gold or gold plated). Our jewelry doesn't come freshly sterilized in an autoclave, so if you just had it done, it's NEVER safe to insert new jewelry from anywhere other than your licensed piercer. However, professional piercers recommend titanium for piercings as the gentlest option for your skin, even better than solid gold or surgical steel. We also carry some pieces with gold or silver posts, however, which is often well tolerated for fully healed piercings, but be sure to check the materials of each piece if you're extra sensitive.

Have your order number ready and say what shipped, what did not, and what you would like done. A piece that arrived faulty, or the wrong item, is put right at no cost to you within 60 days of delivery.

Questions that come up most
Yes. Everything unless noted otherwise with special care instructions is meant to stay on and are manufactured to be durable and long lasting for 24/7 wear. However, if you went into salt water or chemically treated pool/hot tub water, that can be corrosive so a good rinse will help your jewelry last as long as possible.
Usually not. If a piece is still up and listed as sold out, make sure to click the button to request the re-stock, and we'll notify you right away if we managed to do so! If it's no longer listed, it likely won't be coming back, if it does, our newsletter subscribers will be the first to know.

Delivery
We pack and ship every order within two working days, and items are shipped using USPS Ground Advantage, which takes between 2 and 5 business days. You will get an email as soon as your package is shipped with the tracking number.
Returns
60 days from delivery, unworn, in its box. Send a note first so the return is expected. Postage back is on you unless the piece arrived faulty or the wrong item shipped, in which case it is covered. Earrings that have been worn cannot be returned.
Privacy
EffieJewelry is a sole proprietorship in Oregon. This page says what is collected when you order, what it is used for, and how to have it deleted.
What is collected
Your name, shipping address, email, phone number, and what you ordered. The phone number is asked for at checkout so it can go on the shipping label, in case the carrier needs to reach you about the delivery. Card numbers are never seen here — payment runs through the checkout provider, which returns only a confirmation and the last four digits. If you join the newsletter, your email is stored with the date you signed up.
What it is used for
Filling and shipping your order, answering your messages, and sending the newsletter if you asked for it. If you start checkout and do not finish, and you ticked the box at checkout agreeing to emails, one reminder email with a link back to your cart may be sent. Only one, and none if you did not tick the box. Nothing is sold, rented, or traded, and there is no advertising pixel on the site.
Signing in
You do not need an account to shop. If you choose to sign in, there is no password: a sign-in code is emailed to you. Once you are signed in, a cookie keeps you signed in for 90 days. It is HttpOnly, which means scripts on the page cannot read it, and it is used only to keep you signed in. Logging out ends it. Your saved cart, your favorites and your order history are kept with your account.
Who else sees it
Only the services needed to get the parcel to you: the checkout provider, the shipping carrier, and the email provider that sends order confirmations, sign-in codes and the newsletter. Each sees only what its job requires.
How long it is kept
Order records are kept seven years because Oregon and federal tax rules require it. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Message threads are deleted after two years.
Your choices
Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe. Write from the address on your order and you can ask for a copy of what is held, a correction, or deletion of anything not tied to a tax record; it is done within thirty days.
Children
The shop is not aimed at anyone under 13 and no account is created to browse it.

Photographs, the mark, and the site copy belong to EffieJewelry. Reposting a photo with credit is fine; using the mark or reselling the images is not.
Limits

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, and any dispute is heard in the state or federal courts sitting in Multnomah County, Oregon.
